 Hate Message to Hawaii Island Fund Raising Letters: How Low will They Go? |
| Compiled by Badpuppy's GayToday From Christian Coalition Communications Blatant attempts to spread hate and misinformation and to turn Hawaiians against gay men and lesbians is demonstrated in the following hate literature intercepted from the Christian Coalition's fund raising arms. The falsity of the Christian Right's latest claim, namely that it is "Christians" who are being unfairly attacked by women and men who stand firm for same-sex love and affection, is here made manifest. The foregoing reprinted fund-raising appeal clearly shows who is and who is not on the offensive. In no way does GayToday endorse the sending of any funds to anti-gay political groups such as Pat Robertson's. His Coalition's so-called "Christian" message reads:

July 1998 Aloha From Hawaii, Why should you help, and care about, stopping same-sex marriages from ever taking place in Hawaii? First, sexual activity between homosexual men or lesbian women is soundly condemned in the Old and New Testaments in the Bible! Second, if it happens in Hawaii, gay couples will flock there to marry and honeymoon -- and then return to their home states and nations, your neighborhoods! They will file lawsuits in courts demanding that their marriages be legally recognized and liberal judges will grant those requests. The institution of marriage, as we know it, created by God, will come to an end throughout the world in six months to one year! Third, you must believe that the gays will recruit children to their lifestyle, through already published cartoon-style books. These books are already in a few school systems in the USA, corrupting the minds of children. They want children to consider more options when they grow up -- homosexual male relationships and lesbian women relationships! Fourth, some -- but not all -- homosexuals are pedophiles, preying on children and wanting the age of consent laws for sex removed all over the world. Just as they call gay marriages a "civil right," some -- again, not all -- say children are being deprived of their "civil right" to have sex. "Sex at eight, before it's too late" is one slogan! Fifth, God destroyed Sodom for sodomy. Only one family was taken out of the city before it was destroyed! Let's not incur God's wrath all over the world for what could happen in Hawaii, before this Christmas. Right now, such "marriages" are not legal anywhere in the world. Remember, with national and international news coverage of gay marriages, Hawaii, in just one week, could change its image from an island paradise to the gay marriage and honeymoon capital of the world. And after their honeymoons, they'll go home and demand that their marriages be recognized by you and your community! You can help stop these "marriages" from ever taking place.
