Getting Spacey With Kevin's Sexuality

If Spacey is a gay man who lies and says he's a straight man, the public who made him a star is going to find that interesting and the media whose job it is to inform the public on matters the public finds interesting is going to seek the truth. If Kevin doesn't like this, he should not have chosen to be a movie star. When he set out to become famous, Kevin full well knew that movie stars sacrifice a large degree of privacy in exchange for being fabulously wealthy and adored by millions.

Brooke's Gay Life

Oh! My mom took us all to see Rocky Horror Picture Show—that (gay club) was the only place it was playing. It was brand-new—I was around 7. There were guys and girls dancing in cages. We had the best time! That's the way my mom was. The lines weren't drawn that way. You had to be a good person and pick up the kitty litter and write thank-you notes and all that. But she had so little judgment about other people.

The Family Values Double Standard

"People say they want to protect children. Do they? We have a 3-year-old son. We're a family. But legally, we're not. We go through the same things heterosexuals go through. Dixie Praises Yanks on Gay Rights Decision

While various denominations will continue to hash out the religious ramifications of same-sex marriage, we think Vermont has offered a sensible model for secular "civil unions. The nation has a long way to go before the Vermont model is considered the norm. Congress and more than 30 states have passed laws denying recognition to same-sex "marriages" performed in other states. ... But gay unions will exist whether they are state sanctioned or not. We hope more states will follow Vermont's example and enact laws that conform with reality.

“When [new] soldiers walk into their barracks and see 'kill faggots' in rest rooms around base, antigay comments carved into the furniture, and they see their unit leaders walk by that every day and hear their unit leaders make derogatory comments about gay people, that sends a message that the way to fit in is to join in the harassment.”
