In numerous media interviews I have denied the suggestion I am gay because I truly don't regard myself as 'gay'. The reason for revealing this part of my life now, with great trepidation, is that I am sick and tired of the gossip and know if I don't at least address this aspect of my life there will be many detractors saying the book isn't the 'real' story.
