jrivers.jpg - 8.95 K Joan Rivers Hears the Supreme Court

First of all, to hear the (audio-taped) voices of the Supreme Court!… Why, I've had phone sex with four of them. But I'm not going to kiss and tell.

Joan Rivers—CNN's Larry King Live, December 20

Santa's Reindeer: Females with Drag Names

Male reindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November to mid-December…Female reindeer retain their antlers till after they give birth in the spring…Therefore, according to every historical rendition depicting Santa's reindeer, every single one of them, from Rudolf to Blitzen......had to be a female.

We should've known this when they were able to find their way.

The Davies Family—December 20

Man Act?

A long time ago someone told me to act like a man. And that's why I'm on late-night TV.

Conan O'Brien—NBC, December 20

Indicting George W.

If we cannot challenge Bush in the courts, then we must challenge him in the court of public opinion. I'm not talking about his politics, or his drug and alcohol abuse, or his demonstrated intellectually-challenged status. I'm talking about a man accepting the highest office in this nation, on the basis by which Bush attained that office. No honest man would have done so period. No man who believes in the ideals of America would have done so. No man who plans to swear to uphold the Constitution would have done so. To shorten the list -- no man who truly loves his country would have done so. If he couldn't win it fair and square on votes, a GOOD man wouldn't want it and wouldn't take it. And there lies the real indictment of George W. Bush. He took it all anyway.

Teddy Snyder—in a letter to GayToday, December 22

Chauvinist Piglet No Longer

rwicker2.jpg - 23.00 K Reuters Health reports that boys may be more fragile than girls (Christmas issue of the British Medical Journal). The newborn boy is "developmentally behind newborn girls", brain damage, congenital deformed genitalia and limbs and cerebral palsy are more common.

"After birth boys are three to four times more likely to have developmental disorders-such as specific reading delay, autism, stammering, and Tourette's syndrome--and twice as likely to have conduct and oppositional disorders." Academically, girls outperform boys. Among 16 year-olds in England 50% of the girls got C's or above compared to only 40% of boys.

Males tend to have superior skills in math and non-verbal tasks. However, adult men are more likely to suffer from all kinds of illnesses--circulatory disorders, diabetes, alcoholism, ulcers, lung cancer and substance abuse. They are also more likely to commit suicide. Men also are reluctant to tell their doctors about health problems.

Gosh, all those facts makes me feel genetically inferior for being a male, doubly so for being a male homosexual. No wonder, someone wrote to me at www.clonerights.com asking if "he" could be cloned with extra "x" chromosome so his later born twin would be female instead of male. Women do seem to be more "human" than men in many ways. We even call our home planet "Mother Earth".

I'm accused by some friends of being a "male chauvinist pig" but it seems to me that females are superior to males (in everything except sexual attractiveness). Guess the real proof is the fact that they outlive males by several years.

Happy Communist-Chinese Xmas

You really don't want to be a killjoy and bring up how much Christmas stuff The United States imports from slave-labor markets in Communist China. Like the $535 million in Christmas tree ornaments snapped up between January and August this year, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Or the $78.2 million in fake trees—often non-biodegradable petroleum products with about a six year life-span before hitting the landfill—imported during the same period. Or $210.5 million worth of Christmas lights. To say nothing of the toys and dolls, which gets into the billions.

Oh Sure.

tafel2.jpg - 28.17 K Bush may need to reach out to gays. I think (Bush) is fundamentally a person who has a good heart. I think his basic instinct is inclusion.

Rich Tafel—Executive Director of the Log Cabin Republicans, quoted by Deb Price, Detroit News, December 26

Calling 'Em Like They Sees 'Em

I've been called a Nazi, a brownshirt and a pig.

Roanoke's Gay Bar Shooting Survivors

"It's overwhelming to see all these people," Collins said of the roughly 200 people who showed up to give them support…The reason for the gathering still lingers with them. Collins just recently got rid of his colostomy bag. Caldwell's hand that was shot still doesn't work. Page Webb, who was shot in the head, can't feel part of her face and constantly deals with pain. People came up to them throughout the night, hugging them and shaking their hands. Four phone calls from across the country came into the bar. The callers said their hearts were with the victims.

Another call also came in earlier in the night. The caller voiced support for Ronald Gay, the man charged with the crime.

Bush Takes Over

It don't worry me. It don't worry me. You may say that I ain't free, but it don't worry me.
