GayToday/GayPhilly Operations Merger

Badpuppy Enterprises, Inc. and WhatEver Productions are proud to announce the operations merger of GayToday news and the GayPhilly website.  GayToday is one of the oldest gay news content providers on the internet and serves approximately 15,000 subscribers.
Bill Pinyon remains publisher and managing editor, and long time civil rights activist Jack Nichols will maintain stewardship of senior editorial duties. GayPhilly's Carter Burnette will oversee the production of news delivery systems.

As part of this effort, web interfaces were designed that are ergonomic in nature and facilitate faster download times.  Articles pop into a smaller interface window which overlays the menu page. Because the screen is smaller, readers always retain access to the menu page by clicking onto the lower level.  Print functionality was also included.

Badpuppy began as a BBS in May 1994 and became incorporated in November 1995.  Badpuppy was developed as a one stop for gay and lesbian information on the internet. It is comprised of 37 contributor sites, the largest network of gay content and provides the following services: chat rooms, discussion forums, travel information, news, and soft porn..  The GayToday news division furnishes news, current events, reviews, medical information, cultural, and other items of interest to gay and lesbian people.

GayPhilly is Philadelphia's online resource for the Delaware Valley's gay community. In it's short tenure, GayPhilly has been awarded two site awards for excellence.  It features a business directory, bar & restaurant listings, an arts guide, pride programming and personals.  The arts guide features a repository of artists which highlights the works of local gay artists of all disciplines.

The GayToday website is located at http://www.badpuppy.com/gaytoday.  Badpuppy is a privately held corporation valued at $4 million which utilizes a new age philosophy. It's corporate culture features a nurturing, not fear  motivated management style that is non exploitative to consumers, employees and profits and results in longevity, commitment and loyalty.

The streamlined look and user interface mirror Badpuppy's motto of:

Better, Faster and More Substantial ...
That Is The Only Way It Will Be
