Oregon university expands gender and sexual orientation options

Students at Portland State University now have options beyond “man” and “woman,” “gay” and “straight” when it comes to identifying themselves on school paperwork.

The expansion comes in response to 2015 legislation requiring Oregon schools to allow students to include their sexual orientation for anonymous tracking purposes.
