Aaron Carter checks into rehab after distressing 911 calls

According to various reports, Aaron Carter is checking into rehab.

The announcement comes after details of various calls to 911 about the singer’s health. The Blast states one call to the police described Carter as ‘not in a safe mental state’ and ‘engaging in drug activity’. The police also allegedly observed ‘a lot of prescription meds’ in his home.

According to E!, a police spokesperon said everything was fine and no one needed help.

Now, however, Carter is checking in a treatment facility for his own wellbeing.

Carter’s rep released the following statement: ‘Aaron has decided to enter a facility to improve his health and work on his overall wellness. He is going to do this privately and focus all his attention on being the best person and performer possible. He is grateful for the support and love from his fans and looks forward to coming back stronger than ever before.’

This afternoon, he tweeted: ‘Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.’
