Pope Francis tells bishops to ‘keep your eyes open’ for gay seminarians

Pope Francis continues his bipolar swing between The Pro-Gay Pope and Business As Usual Pope.

Earlier this week, Francis told a gay man that “God made you like this and loves you like this and I don’t care.”

But one day later he sang a different tune when speaking to a gathering of Italian bishops. He told the church leaders to reject any gay applicants to the priesthood.

“Keep an eye on the admissions to seminaries, keep your eyes open,” the pope said according to the newspaper La Stampa’s Vatican Insider service. “If in doubt, better not let them enter.”

“If a person is gay and seeks God and has good will, who am I to judge?” the pope said in 2013. “When a person arrives before Jesus, Jesus certainly will not say: ‘Go away because you are homosexual’.”

In 2015, he met with notorious lawbreaking county clerk Kim Davis who infamously refused to give gay people marriage licenses. The Vatican later backtracked from the meeting, saying they didn’t realize who she was.

Then in 2016, he attacked transgender people as the “annihilation of man as image of God.”

The Vatican has refused to comment on either of this week’s comments about gay people.
