Three gay couples will tie the knot in a big military wedding ceremony

Continuing the trend of leading Asia in progressing LGBTQ causes, the nation of Taiwan has announced it will allow same-sex couples to marry in military-style weddings. 

Military weddings are a tradition in Taiwan, with the armed forces holding joint weddings for military service members. This year will see there same-sex couples partake in the patriotic event. Service members will marry their partners wearing traditional military garb: a high honor in the country.

Taiwan became the first Asian nation to legalize marriage equality earlier this year, in May. Following suit, the military began accepting applications from same-sex couples to wed in the joint marriage ceremony…
