Fox News will host town hall with Democrat Pete Buttigieg before Iowa caucuses

Out presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg, the former mayor of South Bend, Indiana, will participate in a town hall hosted by FOX News shortly before the Iowa caucuses. “Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace will moderate the event.

“We are pleased to host Mayor Buttigieg for the second time this election cycle for a timely town hall in the influential state of Iowa,” Jay Wallace, president and executive editor of Fox News Media, said in an emailed statement. “Once again, we are looking forward to providing our millions of viewers with an insightful discussion ahead of the first major contest of the primary season.”

Buttigieg has made it a point to reach out to moderate Republicans and independents in his campaign, saying he wanted to reach all Americans and not just liberal Democrats. The move has increased his levels of support with older voters, but has pushed young Democrats away.
