Small Ohio town passes human rights ordinance via Zoom during pandemic because “people can’t wait”

Village officials in Gambier, Ohio, passed an LGBTQ inclusive human rights ordinance via Zoom last week. Ohio does not have statewide protections for LGBTQ people.

The town modeled the law after proposed legislation that would add sexual orientation and gender identity to state law.
