History at the Emmys: RuPaul scores first-ever nomination

Ryan Seacrest, you’d better WERK! Because this year, you have some fierce competition in the Emmy category of Outstanding Host of a reality show: statuesque supermodel, gorgeous glamazon and “Drag Race” mistress of ceremonies, RuPaul.

The drag diva netted her first nomination for hosting Logo’s popular competition of queens Thursday, when the Emmy Awards were announced by Anthony Anderson and Lauren Graham at a ceremony in Los Angeles. “Drag Race” received its second-ever nomination in the category of Outstanding Costumes; in 2015, the show was nominated for makeup, and producers went home empty-handed.
