AIDS Walk Orange County Commemorates 25th Anniversary at Disneyland Resort

 

This is the 25th anniversary of AIDS Walk Orange County.  The goals this year are 10,000 walkers and $1 million raised.  Nine nonprofit organizations serving the needs of people affected or infected by HIV/AIDS in Orange County will share in walk proceeds.  Since 1986 the event has raised about $13.5 million.

An approximately 5K walk through Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park concluding in Downtown Disney with a festival including sponsor booths, entertainment, AIDS Memorial Quilt, and HIV testing.

AIDS Walk attracts a wide array of participants including families, friends and neighbors; employee volunteer teams; civic organizations; communities of faith; and young people.  This year’s event promises to be one of the biggest ever made even more meaningful by the Disneyland Resort location.
