WATCH: Man caught on video dousing LGBTQ youth center with gasoline and setting it ablaze

Police are on the hunt for a man captured on surveillance video walking into the Phoenix LGBTQ youth center with a canister of gasoline, dousing the place, and then lighting it on fire.

The arson attack happened at the one·n·ten Youth Center in Phoneix on July 12 at around 11:00 am.

According to local news station KSAZ:

The fire at the LGBTQ youth center, according to officials, took place at around 11:00 a.m. on July 12. According to a statement released Wednesday afternoon, recovered video evidence led to the discovery of arson. Now, fire officials are asking for the public’s help, as they search for a man identified as 26-year-old Darren William Beach, Jr. Fire officials released little information on Beach, but did identify him as being 6′ 2″ tall, weighing approximately 280 lbs.

Authorities say they are not handling the arson attack as a hate crime since the suspect used to be a client at the center. His motivations for burning the building are also unclear.
