Sign of things to come: Trump names member of hate group to transition team

President-elect Donald Trump’s choice to head his administration’s domestic policy is a leading member of a group designated by the Southern Poverty Law Center as an extremist hate group, a man who compared gays to kleptomaniacs and arsonists, and who famously said: “I think homosexuality is a lifestyle, it’s a choice, and that lifestyle can be changed,” and called it “a transgression against God’s law, God’s will.”

His name is Ken Blackwell, senior fellow at the Family Research Council, and according to AmericaBlog, among other reports, Trump named him to formulate domestic policy for his first 100 days.

In 2014, Blackwell called ObamaCare unconstitutional and predicted it would “destroy” American families and “silence the Church.”

Also in 2014, Blackwell blamed marriage equality in California for a killing spree, and in 2011 the former secretary of state in Ohio boasted about his successful efforts to defeat marriage equality in his home state.
