Club Q announces its reopening with a new name & location one year after horrific shooting

Almost one year after a shooter opened fire at the LGBTQ+ nightclub Club Q in Colorado Springs, Colorado – killing five people and wounding 19 – the club has announced it is reopening.

But the new Club Q will look a little different. For one, it will have a different name, going by “The Q,” and it will also open in a new location, inside the Satellite Hotel in south Colorado Springs. A press release from the management team explained that many “feel returning the [original] building to the community this soon will hinder their healing process.”
